Taca Kate is
planning her first show on Taca, her little Spanish mare (see Kate's
Testimonial). Taca has come on an absolute treat since she's
been here and Kate is thrilled with their progress to date.
They plan to contest the 2nd Leg of the Holly Hill RC dressage league
in November. I'll be going with them to help,
so watch this space.
Alfie Kate's daughter, Tamara,
has got a new pony!!!! He is a gorgeous, cheeky, bay
Welsh Section C. They are getting on brilliantly, hacking round our woods and getting
to know each other. We'll be on the Pony
Club scene next year.........!!!
FOR SALE - WOOLDLANDER
WELTIQUI My very good friend and member of staff, Sam Tarrier,
is pregnant!! Unfortunately, she has come to the decision that,
realistically, she has to sell her beloved horse. Welti is an
extremely talented 16.2hh, 7 yo chestnut gelding by Weltmeyer. He
has fabulous paces and has been correctly trained. He has won at
Elementary, but is still in Novice points - he has huge potential and we
think will go all the way. He would suit an ambitious amateur or a
professional rider. This is a genuine sale of a much loved
horse who must go to a 5* experienced home (home will be vetted). £12,500
ono (home more important than price). Sam can be
contacted on 07855 365344.
Aragorn A big
welcome to Judi and Aragorn who have recently joined us. Judi has
had Aragorn since he was 4 yo, he's
now 18!!! They compete in Affiliated Dressage at Elementary Level and
enjoy life to the full. Judi has just started competing again after an 18
month break, she's out at Bluegate Hall this weekend
- watch this space.
Yard BBQ
A great night was had by all that came
(including Bruno, Seamus the owner's dog!!) Jim's CHILLI was a resounding
hit, as was all the other food we managed to amass. Claire and
Robert bought their own throw-away BBQ and grilled Haloumi Cheese for
everyone, how very posh! Can't imagine why we ended up with 32
burger rolls left, but the chickens enjoyed them this morning! The
weather was mild
and the rain
held off, and everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves - who
could ask for more?
Jump Clinic - Saturday 3
November Tom Vance held a very successful jump clinic on the
day of the BBQ (good planning), the clinic was full and nobody fell off
(always a good thing). We had 3 external riders attend - I hope they
enjoyed
themselves and will
come back again. The next jump clinic is booked
for Sunday 25 November.

Results
Uli
My black 17hh, KWPN 6 year old has already qualified for the Open Novice Winter
Regionals (won a non-qualifier at Harolds Park Farm on 67% and a qualifier at Patchetts on
70%), and we are now part qualified for the Restricted Elementary Winter Regionals
having won at Bluegate Hall on Saturday
(65%). I'm absolutely thrilled with him as he's really coming along
now (under the watchful eye of my Trainer, Edward Johnson). Frankly, after a year of
him publicly humiliating me at every outing, its about
time!!!! Still that's horses......
Pete
Jodi Smith's bay 16.1hh, Warmblood 5 year old
is on a winning streak! They recently won the Blue Chip Equinox Qualifier at The
College, Keysoe. This weekend, Jodi was at Norton Heath
and won the BN.
Stella
Claire Williams' Chestnut 15.2hh, 6 year old has improved immensely this year (under my watchful
eye!!!) and they have recently started competing at Elementary Dressage. They have had
a number of good results and wins
- being part-qualified for the Restricted Novice Winter Regionals having won
a Qualifier at Fenning Farm recently (65.22%). They won the Restricted Novice class at Bluegate Hall
on Saturday, but unfortunately not on a qualifying score (less
than 1/2% in it).........
Claire and Stella were out again yesterday at Norton
Heath doing 'Trailblazers' Dressage. They won a Novice on
76% - GO CLAIRE!!!!
Aragorn Judi
Davies' bay 17hh, Danish Warmblood 18 year old has a wicked sense of
humour. After not having competed for 18 months, this 'Spring
Chicken' is pushing Judi's patience to the MAX, using every excuse in
the book to ignore her whenever possible and concentrate on the huge
monsters lurking behind every letter around the arena.........
Again, that's horses........
